Marc Cucurella discusses adaptation at Real Madrid

Real Madrid left-back Marc Cucurella has discussed his adaptation to the club following his transfer from Chelsea. In an interview with Cadena SER, the Spanish defender noted the intense atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabéu, admitting he was surprised by how quickly fans react with boos during matches, such as during a recent Champions League fixture against Inter Milan.

Cucurella also addressed the tactical shift in his playing style. He explained that he is attacking less frequently than he did at Chelsea because Real Madrid’s offensive players, including Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, transition so rapidly that full-backs often struggle to join the attack before scoring opportunities arise. He noted that his partnership with Vinicius Junior is still developing as they have had limited training time together.
