Real Madrid presents Marc Cucurella as new player
Real Madrid has officially presented Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella as its newest signing. The presentation took place during a private ceremony at the Real Madrid City in Valdebebas, attended by club president Florentino Pérez and honorary president José Martínez ‘Pirri’.
Cucurella, who joins from Chelsea following a successful stint in the Premier League and a World Cup victory with Spain, signed a contract that binds him to the club until June 30, 2032. He will wear the number 17 jersey. During the event, the player posed with the club’s 15 European Cup trophies and expressed his excitement, stating, ‘It is an honor to wear this shirt, the best club in the world.’
The transfer, reportedly a priority for manager José Mourinho, marks Cucurella’s return to Spanish football after five years in England. He has already made his official debut for the club in a match against Espanyol.
