Marc Cucurella vows to tattoo coach Luis de la Fuente if Spain wins World Cup

Spain’s left‑back Marc Cucurella, a recent Real Madrid signing, is set to play in the 2026 World Cup final in New Jersey against Argentina. In interviews before the match he promised to get a small tattoo of coach Luis de la Fuente’s face if Spain lifts the trophy, saying the design and placement will be decided later.

Cucurella has also drawn attention to his personal life. He and partner Claudia Rodríguez have three children, the eldest son Mateo diagnosed with autism. The player has repeatedly spoken about the challenges of finding appropriate schools and therapies, stressing that family well‑being comes before football decisions. An earlier anecdote recalled his experience at the Club World Cup when U.S. President Donald Trump lingered on the podium, a moment Cucurella described as “terrifying”.
