Dani Ceballos departs Real Madrid as club targets Enzo Fernández and signs Marc Cucurella

Real Madrid announced the mutual termination of Dani Ceballos' contract, ending his nine‑year spell with the club. The 29‑year‑old midfielder, who joined from Real Betis in 2017, leaves having won 16 trophies, including three Champions Leagues, but recorded only 826 minutes in the last season. The club thanked him for his commitment and confirmed he is now a free agent, freeing up his €10 million‑a‑year salary.

In parallel, the Madrid board is preparing a bid exceeding £100 million for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, a move identified by president Florentino Pérez as a priority for the upcoming transfer window. Chelsea values the Argentine at around £120 million, but sources say negotiations are progressing.

The club has also completed the signing of Spanish full‑back Marc Cucurella from the Premier League, with the player and his family relocating from London to Madrid. Cucurella, whose partner Claudia Rodríguez has been highlighted as his main support, joins a Real Madrid side that is reshaping its squad ahead of the new season.
