RB Leipzig signs Marc Guiu from Chelsea in €17m deal

RB Leipzig has officially signed 20-year-old Spanish striker Marc Guiu from Chelsea on a permanent deal. The transfer is valued at approximately €17 million, including achievable bonuses. Guiu has committed to a five-year contract with the Bundesliga club, which will keep him at the Red Bull Arena until June 2030.

As part of the agreement, Chelsea has secured a sell-on clause for any future transfers. Additionally, FC Barcelona is set to receive a solidarity payment of approximately €425,000 due to Guiu’s extensive training at La Masia between the ages of seven and 18.

Guiu, who will wear the number 9 shirt for Leipzig, arrives after two seasons in London where he made 29 appearances and scored eight goals, notably finding success in the UEFA Conference League. His arrival coincides with the departure of Conrad Harder, who has been loaned to French side Strasbourg for the season.
