Marc Jacobs expands Greater China presence via I.T Group partnership
WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group have entered into a partnership with I.T Group to accelerate the growth of Marc Jacobs across Greater China. This collaboration follows the acquisition of the brand from LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton by WHP and G-III in September.
As part of the agreement, I.T Group has acquired the existing business operations for Marc Jacobs in the region. The expansion strategy includes opening new stand-alone boutiques, establishing shop-in-shop locations, enhancing digital commerce, and increasing wholesale distribution across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
Founded in Hong Kong in 1988, I.T Group operates over 280 points of sale and manages a digital platform featuring more than 400 labels. The retailer has a history of developing international brands in the region, including Acne Studios, Comme des Garçons, and Stüssy.
