Marc Marchon receives provisional suspension from National League

SC Bern forward Marc Marchon has been issued a provisional one-game suspension following an incident during a match against HC Davos on October 23, 2026. The National League has opened a formal disciplinary procedure to investigate a potential check to the head and neck area of Davos player Brendan Lemieux.

Although referees did not penalize the action during the game, which resulted in a 4-1 victory for SC Bern, league authorities intervened after reviewing the footage. Marchon will miss the upcoming home game against HC Lugano scheduled for Sunday. The final disciplinary ruling and any potential additional suspensions will be determined following the conclusion of the investigation.
