Marc Marquez claims 100th MotoGP victory at Hungarian Grand Prix
Spanish rider Marc Marquez captured his 100th career Grand Prix win at the Hungarian MotoGP, dominating the final stages after an intense duel with fellow Spaniard Pedro Acosta. The race featured a chaotic opening lap at Turn 1 when Jorge Martin’s error triggered a multi‑rider pile‑up involving Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Raúl Fernandez and others, reshaping the championship battle.
Marquez reclaimed the lead on Lap 15, pulling away to finish 1.6 seconds ahead of Acosta, while Francesco Bagnaia secured third place. The victory also marked Ducati’s 100th win in the sport during its centenary year, reinforcing Marquez’s status as a benchmark in MotoGP and revitalising his title contention for the 2026 season.
