Marc Márquez clinches tenth MotoGP win at Germany's Sachsenring

Spanish rider Marc Márquez won the MotoGP German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring circuit, securing pole position, the sprint race and the main race in a dominant performance. The victory marked his tenth win at this venue, tying Giacomo Agostini’s record for most MotoGP victories on a single circuit. Márquez finished the race almost two seconds ahead of Japan’s Ai Ogura, who took second, while fellow Spaniard Raúl Fernández completed the podium.

The win moved Márquez to third in the world championship standings, 18 points behind leader Jorge Martín. The event set a new attendance record with more than 260,000 spectators. Injuries also featured: Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi broke his left clavicle in qualifying and was absent, and Alex Márquez crashed out during the race.

Overall, the German GP highlighted Márquez’s continued challenge for the 2026 MotoGP title and reinforced his reputation as the “King of the Ring” at Sachsenring.
