Marc Márquez struggles with physical injuries at Silverstone MotoGP

MotoGP rider Marc Márquez is facing significant physical challenges following a difficult weekend at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. The Spanish rider reported a lack of control over his right arm, stating, “Physically I wasn’t there... I had no control over my right arm.”

Márquez’s struggles are linked to ongoing issues with his shoulder and arm, stemming from previous surgeries to address nerve compression. While he showed competitive pace during qualifying, his performance declined during the races due to physical fatigue and extreme rear tyre degradation. This resulted in a seventh-place finish in the Grand Prix and a ninth-place finish in the Sprint.

The poor results have seen Márquez fall 40 points behind championship leader Jorge Martín. Despite the setback, Márquez remains focused on the upcoming Aragon Grand Prix, a circuit where he has historically performed well. He has noted that while he can compete on a single lap, maintaining intensity throughout a full race remains difficult due to his current physical condition.
