Marc Marquez clinches 100th Grand Prix win at Hungarian MotoGP

Spanish rider Marc Marquez secured his 100th Grand Prix victory at the Hungarian MotoGP in Balaton Park, completing a weekend treble for the Ducati Lenovo Team. Despite lingering shoulder nerve issues from a crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix, Marquez posted fastest laps and pulled away from Pedro Acosta in the final stages to win by over a second.

The race featured a massive Turn 1 pile‑up that saw five riders crash, including championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, while Francesco Bagnaia finished third. Ducati team boss Davide Tardozzi praised Marquez’s resilience, noting the rider’s limits are still being tested but his performance was nonetheless “surprising”. The win moves Marquez into 72 points behind the championship leader as the season heads toward the Czech and Dutch rounds.
