Marc Márquez wins Japanese GP, closing gap to two points
Marc Márquez achieved a perfect weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi, winning both the Sprint race and the main Grand Prix. This dominant performance allowed him to secure 37 points, reducing his deficit in the MotoGP world championship to just two points behind leader Jorge Martín.
In the main race, Márquez overtook Martín on the eleventh lap to take the lead and maintained control until the finish. Jorge Martín finished second, while Marco Bezzecchi secured third place for Aprilia. The results also marked a significant milestone for Ducati, as the brand achieved its 100th victory under the technical direction of Gigi Dall'Igna.
As the championship moves toward the next round in Indonesia, the battle for the title has become exceptionally tight with only six races remaining. Márquez expressed confidence in his bike's performance, while Martín acknowledged the difficulty of competing against Márquez's current pace.
