Marc Márquez dominates German MotoGP, cuts championship gap to 18 points

Marc Márquez (Ducati) secured a Grand Slam at the Sachsenring in Germany, taking pole position, winning the sprint race and the main Grand Prix while leading every lap. The 37‑point haul reduced his deficit to championship leader Jorge Martín to just 18 points with three races remaining before the summer break.

Meanwhile, title contender Marco Bezzecchi suffered a displaced left collarbone in qualifying at the same event, forcing him out of the German round and dropping him to fourth in the standings. He has announced his intention to return at the next round in Silverstone after surgery and rehabilitation.

Márquez’s performance has revived his title challenge after a mid‑season slump, while Bezzecchi’s injury reshapes the battle among the leading riders.
