Marc Márquez signs contract extension with Ducati until 2028

Spanish MotoGP champion Marc Márquez has agreed to a two‑year extension with the Ducati Lenovo team, keeping him in the Italian outfit through the end of the 2028 season. The deal follows Márquez’s recovery from a right‑shoulder fracture sustained at the 2025 Indonesian Grand Prix and a series of strong results, including 13 Grand Prix wins with Ducati since joining in 2024. In his statement Márquez said, “If I do it, it’s because mentally I’m ready and physically I feel better,” confirming his confidence in continuing to compete at the top level.

The extension arrives as the MotoGP paddock negotiates a wave of contracts ahead of the 2026‑2028 period, with speculation about future teammate line‑ups at Ducati and other manufacturers.
