Marcel Krajči, son of former minister Gustáv Krajči, dies

Marcel Krajči, the 51-year-old son of former Slovak Interior Minister Gustáv Krajči, has died unexpectedly. He was found lifeless in a room with a television running at his family home on the outskirts of Spišská Nová Ves.

The tragedy occurred on the day of his 51st birthday. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, his death had to be confirmed. While a precise cause is subject to investigation, sources close to the family suggest a heart attack may have been the cause.

Marcel Krajči was a businessman who managed several family companies and owned a shooting range and a tennis hall. He also served as the head of the Klub Spišských Strelcov. Neighbors described him as a hardworking and well-liked individual. His remains have been cremated, and his ashes will be placed in the columbarium at the cemetery in Spišská Nová Ves.
