Marcel Latak wins US Open boys’ singles title

Marcel Latak won the US Open boys’ singles title after defeating the top seed, Guto Miguel, in a marathon final at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The match lasted approximately 2 hours and 46 minutes, which is believed to be the longest boys’ final in the tournament's history.

Latak, a San Diego-trained American ranked No. 41 in the world at the time, secured the victory with a score of 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(13). For Miguel, the loss marked the conclusion of his junior career.
