Marcel Schrötter regains third-place finish in Most

The DMSB has overturned a previous decision regarding Marcel Schrötter, restoring his third-place finish from the first EURO MOTO Superbike race in Most.

Schrötter had originally been stripped of the position following a three-second penalty. The penalty was issued after he used the escape road during the second lap of the race. While the initial ruling suggested he gained an advantage by cutting a chicane, Schrötter’s team appealed, arguing that contact with another rider forced him to take the escape road. The appeal court determined that the decision to issue a time penalty instead of a Long Lap Penalty was incorrect based on the circumstances of the incident.
