Marcela Bayerová Čadová wins Czech ultramarathon title, Michal Krška earns bronze with implanted defibrillator

Marcela Bayerová Čadová of Boskovice successfully defended her title at the Czech Republic 48‑hour ultramarathon championship in Kladno, covering more than 335 kilometers in two days. She won gold ahead of only four men who finished ahead of her overall.

Michal Krška from Blansko claimed the bronze medal despite competing with an implanted defibrillator after a previous cardiac arrest. He completed the race in third place among men, demonstrating that the device did not limit his performance.

Both athletes highlighted the extreme physical demands of the event, with Krška noting the challenges of sleep deprivation and the need for extensive training to cover the required distance.
