Italian sprinter Marcell Jacobs ran a 9.67‑second 100 metre race at the Raiffeisen Austrian Open in Eisenstadt, Austria. The time is the third‑fastest ever recorded, behind Usain Bolt’s 9.58 and 9.63 seconds, but a tailwind of +4.1 m/s exceeds the World Athletics limit of +2.0 m/s, so the performance will not be ratified as a record.

Jacobs also posted a 9.84 in the semifinals with a +2.3 m/s wind.
