Marcellus Wiley accused of sexual assault in new lawsuit

Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley is facing a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County alleging he sexually assaulted a woman in 1999. The plaintiff, identified by the pseudonym ‘Jane Doe’, claims the incident occurred while she was a 22-year-old student at the University of Southern California (USC).

According to the lawsuit, the two met in February 1999 and went on two dates. The plaintiff alleges that after visiting a nightclub in downtown Los Angeles, Wiley pressured her to stay at his hotel near LAX Airport. The suit claims that despite the plaintiff explicitly stating she was not interested in sexual activity and intended only to sleep, Wiley raped her after she fell asleep in his room.
