Marcellus Wiley Arrested; Wife Files Divorce and Abuse Claims

Former NFL player and TV analyst Marcellus Wiley was arrested on July 4, 2026 in Orlando, Florida, on a misdemeanor domestic‑battery charge after his estranged wife, Annemarie Wiley, called police alleging he threatened to kill her and physically confronted her in a hotel room. He was released on a $1,000 bond, ordered to surrender his firearm and keep a distance of several hundred feet from Annemarie and their three children.

Annemarie filed for divorce and a domestic‑violence restraining order the same day, citing a pattern of physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse dating back to 2012, including multiple rape allegations. The court granted the order, barring Marcellus from contacting her or the children and requiring proof of gun surrender.

Wiley has denied all accusations, posting on X that he possesses videos, texts, photos and emails that will refute the claims and emphasizing his focus on his children. He also faces a separate civil lawsuit alleging a $500,000 unpaid business loan. The legal matters remain unresolved, with an arraignment scheduled for early August.
