Marcellus Wiley Served Restraining Order During Divorce Proceedings

Former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley was arrested on July 4 in Orlando after an alleged domestic‑battery incident with his estranged wife, Annemarie Wiley, at a Marriott hotel. Annemarie filed for divorce in Los Angeles two days later, citing irreconcilable differences and alleging a "continuing and escalating pattern of physical violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, financial control and intimidation," which she said their children witnessed.

On July 8 a process server delivered a temporary restraining order, a notice of a court hearing and child‑custody documents to Wiley at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex inside Disney World. Wiley denied the allegations, calling them “lies,” and said he would address the dispute through the legal process, even claiming his troubles stem from a "voodoo spell" placed by Annemarie’s family.

The restraining order bars Wiley from contacting Annemarie or their three children pending a July 24 hearing, and the couple has been ordered to attend mediation over custody and visitation.
