Marcelo Brozović suffers injury during Al-Sadd debut

Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović suffered a groin injury during his debut match for Qatari club Al-Sadd. The 33-year-old, who joined the club in September following a three-year stint with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, played 58 minutes in a 3-2 loss against Al-Arabi before being forced off the pitch.

Al-Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu confirmed that Brozović will miss the upcoming Asian Champions League fixture against Al-Hilal. The duration of his absence remains uncertain, and his availability for the upcoming derby against Al-Duhail is also in question. Brozović was signed to a one-year contract to provide experience and stability to the midfield, but his injury comes at a critical juncture in the season.
