Marcelo Díaz apologizes for controversial remarks about Michael Clark

Marcelo Díaz, captain of Universidad de Chile, has issued an apology following controversial remarks regarding former Azul Azul executive Michael Clark. Díaz admitted that a video containing his comments, in which he suggested Clark had come to ‘order the house,’ should never have been released.

In an interview, the midfielder acknowledged a communication error that amplified his words and expressed regret if his statements were interpreted negatively by fans. He clarified that his remarks were intended to address the club's sporting operations rather than to damage the institution, stating, “Maybe I messed up, but my basis was that the club functions.”
