Marcelo Queiroga involved in political dispute and threats in Monteiro

A street vendor, Harison Fernandes Ferreira, filed a police report in Monteiro following a political dispute involving former Health Minister and Senate candidate Marcelo Queiroga.

The incident reportedly began inside a pharmacy during a conversation between the vendor and the establishment's owner regarding politics. According to the report, Queiroga entered the pharmacy and made claims regarding the provision of free medication through the 'Farmácia Popular' program. When the vendor questioned the accuracy of these claims, a verbal altercation ensued.

While the vendor stated he was not physically assaulted by Queiroga himself—noting the pharmacy owner intervened—he reported being subsequently targeted by supporters of the candidate. The vendor alleged that he was pushed and threatened by several men, including one individual who reportedly pointed a finger at his face and threatened to shoot him, stating he ‘deserved to die’.
