Marcelo Torres extends contract with Gimnasia until 2029

Forward Marcelo Torres has extended his contract with Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata until December 2029. The striker, who joined the club in mid-2025, has recorded 16 goals in 40 matches.

This renewal provides the club's management with greater stability ahead of the summer transfer market. Under the current arrangement, Gimnasia intends to exercise an option in December to acquire 50% of the player's rights for $450,000.

The club is also working on further squad continuity, with potential upcoming renewals for players such as Ignacio Fernández and Mateo Seoane, while monitoring the situations of Agustín Auzmendi and Ignacio Miramón.
