Marcelo Victor credits Renan Calheiros for expanding education in Alagoas

Marcelo Victor, president of the Alagoas Legislative Assembly, has highlighted the role of Senator Renan Calheiros in expanding federal education throughout the interior of Alagoas.

Speaking in Pão de Açúcar, Victor defended Calheiros's reelection by noting his contributions to establishing units of the Federal University of Alagoas and federal technical schools outside of Maceió. Victor stated that during the 1990s, technical education was largely concentrated in Maceió and Palmeira dos Índios, but Calheiros's actions helped decentralize these educational opportunities to other regions of the state.
