Marche Region approves law to simplify bureaucracy for businesses

The Marche Regional Council has approved a new law aimed at simplifying bureaucratic procedures for businesses, municipalities, and citizens. The legislation, titled ‘Provisions for simplification and updating of regional regulations’, seeks to modernize the regional administration by repealing seven obsolete laws and implementing a ‘digital first’ approach.

In the tourism sector, the law removes the requirement for accommodation facilities to communicate prices annually to the Region and abolishes the prohibition on accumulating funding. For commerce, the measure introduces more uniform and reduced administrative sanctions for violations regarding hours and prices, lowering fines from a range of 1,000–3,000 euros to 250–1,500 euros.

Additional measures include environmental simplifications regarding environmental impact assessments (VIA and AIA), streamlined management of market parking for municipalities, and updates to regulations concerning the Third Sector and disability language. The reform also aims to improve coordination between schools and families regarding student progress and provides tax relief for vehicles belonging to victims of duty.
