Marche region hosts filming for new movie ‘Mating Call’

Filming for the new movie ‘Mating Call’ has commenced in the Marche region of Italy, specifically within the province of Ancona. The project is written, directed by, and stars Denise Tantucci and Gabriel Ríos.

Tantucci, an actress originally from Montemarciano, returns to her birthplace to film the production. Ríos, a Puerto Rican-Belgian singer-songwriter, noted that the Adriatic coast reminds him of his upbringing in San Juan.

Production is scheduled to run from September 28 through October 31, with major filming locations including Montemarciano and scenes set in Ancona. The film is supported by the Marche Film Commission and the Municipality of Ancona, with executive production handled by YUK! film srl. The story follows a young woman and a mysterious stranger who meet in a deserted restaurant.
