Marche region launches financial aid for people with severe disabilities
The Marche region in Italy is offering a dedicated economic contribution for individuals classified as having "severe disability"—those who require 24‑hour assistance, often depend on respirators, are in a vegetative or minimally conscious state, or suffer from serious neurological or spinal injuries. According to INAIL data, about 78,000 residents (5% of the regional population) live with such conditions, while nationwide only one in three disabled people has access to employment.
Applicants must submit a request for disability recognition to the Provincial Health Commission of the Ambito Territoriale Sociale (ATS) 13 in Ancona by 31 August 2026. The deadline to apply for the financial contribution at the applicant’s municipality of residence is 11 October 2026. Forms and public notices are available on the websites of the ATS‑13 municipalities (Camerano, Castelfidardo, Loreto, Numana, Offagna, Osimo and Sirolo). For assistance, contact the ATS‑13 coordination office at 071 7249 327 or via WhatsApp at 371 3491876.
