Marche rugby clubs prepare for Serie A season and facility upgrades

The 2026-2027 Serie A men's national rugby season has been presented in the Marche region, featuring two local teams: Unione Rugby San Benedetto and Fiorini Pesaro Rugby. San Benedetto enters the season following a third-place finish last year, led by new Australian head coach Damien Cummins. Fiorini Pesaro Rugby will compete in Serie A1 for the first time after seven seasons in A2.

In related regional developments, Petrut Rugby Teramo participated in a youth tournament in Pesaro alongside Unione Rugby San Benedetto. Despite the team's cohesion, local rugby clubs in Teramo continue to advocate for a permanent home. While the administration has designated the former Municipal Stadium for future redevelopment and the Forcella field as a temporary solution, the clubs are awaiting definitive timelines for stable training and playing facilities.
