Marchfelderhof hosts annual Martini goose banquet in Deutsch-Wagram

The Marchfelderhof in Deutsch-Wagram hosted its traditional Martini goose banquet, an annual event described as a fixture in the local culinary and society calendar. Hosted by Peter Großmann, the gathering brought together various figures from the arts, music, and social media sectors.

Chef Jozef “Pepo” Krajco prepared a menu featuring goose liver pralines in pumpkin coating, traditional goose soup with bread dumplings, and crispy roast goose accompanied by young wine from winemaker Katharina Baumgartner. The meal concluded with caramelized pumpkin and vanilla ice cream.

Attendees included actors such as Martin Leutgeb, Markus Freistätter, and Gerhard Ernst, as well as musical performers like Andy Lee Lang, Ulli Baer, and Jazz Gitti. Etiquette expert Thomas Schäfer-Elmayer noted that while the meal is traditional, standard table manners apply, emphasizing the importance of not speaking with a full mouth.
