Marching Boys Taiwanese film to release in Japan

The Taiwanese film ‘Marching Boys’ is scheduled for release in Japan starting October 23, 2025, at Cinemart Shinjuku and other locations nationwide. Based on a true story set in 1990s Taiwan, the film follows high school students in a prestigious boys' school marching band fighting to prevent the club from being disbanded.

Directed by Chang Jui-chih, the film features Mu Sheng as the protagonist, Zhang Hao, who was nominated for a Best New Actor award at the Golden Horse Awards. New promotional footage has been released, showcasing a heated confrontation between band members Zhang Hao, Liu Ji-chuan, and club president Tai-chen following a regional qualifying performance.

To celebrate the Japanese release, producer and screenwriter Kelly Chen will host a talk event at Cinemart Shinjuku on October 25. Additionally, limited edition original postcards will be distributed to theater visitors starting from the opening day.
