Marchirolo police seek teenager after electric scooter chase

An adolescent is being sought by local police in Marchirolo after fleeing a traffic stop while riding an electric scooter. The incident occurred on Thursday morning when the teenager, who was riding without a helmet, license plate, or mandatory insurance, ignored orders to stop and accelerated to evade officers.

During the pursuit, the individual committed multiple traffic violations, including running a red light, before disappearing into the narrow alleys of the historic center. However, local authorities were able to identify the youth using municipal video surveillance footage.

Local police have issued a direct appeal to parents, urging them to take responsibility for their children's behavior and the proper use of vehicles. Officials expressed concern over a growing trend of young people attempting to flee from law enforcement, noting the significant risks to personal safety and potential legal consequences.
