Marcin Animucki emerges as potential PZPN president candidate

Marcin Animucki, the current president of Ekstraklasa and vice-president of the Polish Football Association (PZPN) for professional football, has emerged as a potential candidate for the PZPN presidency. According to reports from journalist Adam Sławiński of Kanał Sportowy, Animucki is considering a bid to succeed the current president, Cezary Kulesza.

Kulesza is currently serving his second and final term, which is scheduled to conclude in 2029. While Łukasz Wachowski, the association's Secretary General, has previously been mentioned as a possible successor, he has officially denied any plans to run in the upcoming elections. Animucki, 47, has been leading the Ekstraklasa since 2017.
