Marcio Art celebrates career in Brazilian pagode

Singer Marcio Ferreira Lisboa, known professionally as Marcio Art, is celebrating a career spanning several decades of Brazilian music. Originally from the North Zone of São Paulo, he was a key figure during the 1990s pagode explosion as a member of the group Art Popular, which helped establish the São Paulo pagode style nationwide.

Since beginning his solo career in 2011, Marcio Art has developed a distinct musical identity while remaining rooted in samba and pagode. His career longevity aligns with a current resurgence of interest in 1990s pagode. He recently contributed his experiences to a Globoplay documentary focused on the history of the genre during that decade.

As he continues to evolve his musical output, his current single, ‘Volta Pra Mim’, represents his ongoing artistic development and connection to his audience.
