Amorim was a significant figure in the cultural scene of Rio Grande do Norte. His career spanned acting, journalism, and artistic management, including roles as a director for Elenco Mosh and a producer for Trama Agenciamento. He was notably part of the cast of the production ‘Meu Seridó’ by the group Casa de Zoé.

His passing has drawn significant emotional responses due to his close lifelong friendship with actress Titina Medeiros, who passed away in January from pancreatic cancer. Just days before his death, Amorim had shared a public tribute to Medeiros on social media, commemorating their decades-long professional and personal bond that began in 1995.
