Marco Antonio López faces lawsuit over unpaid 36 million peso check

Marco Antonio López, known as Parived, is facing a new legal action following a complaint filed by the investment firm El Roble SpA. The complaint, filed in the Fourth Guarantee Court of Santiago, alleges the “fraudulent issuance of a check” after a document worth 36 million pesos was returned by the bank due to insufficient funds.

The plaintiffs describe the incident as a “ruse” designed to evade debt repayment. They are seeking a sentence of three years and one day in prison, along with a fine of 21 UTM. As part of the requested proceedings, the complaint calls for four witnesses to testify, including television presenter Tonka Tomicic, who is López’s former partner.

This legal matter follows recent reports regarding a separate lawsuit against Tomicic by a bank seeking the restitution of an apartment in Vitacura. Tomicic has previously stated that she faced financial difficulties following her departure from Canal 13, which impacted her ability to maintain certain property commitments.
