Marco Arment launches Unforgetful task-management app

Marco Arment, the developer behind Overcast and Instapaper, has launched Unforgetful, a new task-management application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Designed to address shortcomings in the native Apple Reminders app, Unforgetful focuses on persistent notifications to ensure tasks are not overlooked.

Rather than replacing the existing Apple Reminders system, Unforgetful integrates directly with its database. This allows users to continue creating tasks via Siri or other compatible apps without needing to import or export data. The app is specifically designed for users who struggle with task management, with Arment describing the concept as “Reminders for ADHD.”

Key features include notifications that continue to reappear until a task is marked as completed, a flexible snoozing system that increases intervals as tasks are postponed, and a simplified interface that avoids complex organizational layers like tags or folders. The app also includes widgets, Lock Screen controls, and the ability to space out notifications to prevent overwhelming the user.
