Marco Averna honored in Reggio Calabria for Subbuteo world title

Reggio Calabria held an institutional ceremony at Palazzo San Giorgio to honor Marco Averna, who won both individual and team Under 12 world titles at the Subbuteo World Championships in Paris last September.

During the event, city councilor Fabio Colella presented Averna with a commemorative plaque. The ceremony was attended by Nino Criserà, president of the Reggio Calabria Subbuteo club, and Pietro Ielapi, president of the Italian Federation of Table Football Sports (Fisct).

The celebration also served as an announcement for the upcoming Guerin Subbuteo tournament. For the third consecutive year, Reggio Calabria will host a stage of the competition at the Sala Monteleone of the Calabria Regional Council, with individual matches scheduled for October 31 and team competitions on November 1.
