Marco Balzano to curate BookCity Milano 2026

Writer and teacher Marco Balzano has been appointed to curate the upcoming edition of BookCity Milano, scheduled to take place from November 23 to 29, 2026. This marks a significant transition for the event, as Balzano succeeds Oliviero Ponte di Pino and Elena Puccinelli, who managed the program for the first fourteen editions.

Under the leadership of the BookCity Foundation, currently chaired by Luca Formenton, the festival aims to maintain its identity as a widespread publishing festival. Balzano intends to expand the event’s reach beyond the city center to include more distant districts, fostering connections between authors, publishers, libraries, schools, and the public through a polycentric program.
