Marco Bezzecchi admits fading 2026 MotoGP title chances
Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi has admitted that his chances for the 2026 MotoGP title are fading following a difficult run of form. After dominating the first eight races of the season with four Grand Prix victories, Bezzecchi has failed to finish in five of his last eight races.
Heading into the Japanese Grand Prix at the Motegi Circuit, Bezzecchi trails leader Jorge Martin by 42 points and Marc Marquez by 12 points. He noted that while he remains in the hunt, Martin and Marquez are in much stronger positions.
Bezzecchi also highlighted the technical challenges at Motegi, noting that Aprilia has never achieved a podium at the circuit, whereas Ducati has historically shown great strength there. Despite this, he expressed confidence in the Aprilia's braking performance and remains focused on finding competitive pace during practice sessions.
