Raúl Fernández wins Assen MotoGP sprint as Trackhouse claims historic double

In the sprint race of the Dutch Grand Prix at Assen, Raúl Fernández (Aprilia/Trackhouse) secured a surprise victory after starting fourth, finishing ahead of teammate Ai Ogura to give Trackhouse Racing its first ever sprint double. The win followed a pole‑position penalty that had originally moved Fernández back on the grid, but he turned the setback into motivation and dominated the short race.

In the Moto2 class, David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar) claimed his first victory of the season, overtaking championship leader Manu González in the final metres of the 22‑lap race. Alonso finished 0.024 seconds ahead of González, with Senna Agius completing the podium.

The Moto3 race was won by Máximo Quiles (CFMoto Aspar), who held off David Almansa to take a narrow 0.513‑second victory. Marco Morelli rounded out the podium, while several riders, including Indonesia’s Veda Ega Pratama, retired before the halfway point.

The Assen weekend also featured notable performances such as Raul Fernández’s sprint win, a strong showing from Trackhouse Racing, and a competitive battle across all three classes.
