Marco Bezzecchi Undergoes Routine Procedure After German MotoGP Crash

Italian MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi suffered a high‑speed crash during qualifying at the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring in early July, fracturing his left clavicle and sustaining a wound to his left knee. He underwent surgery for the clavicle fracture the day after the crash and, a week later, received a routine medical procedure to clean the knee wound, according to a statement from Aprilia Racing. Bezzecchi has returned home to continue rehabilitation and is targeting a return at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone scheduled for 7–9 August.

Aprilia confirmed that the knee procedure was uncomplicated and that the rider will focus on recovery during the summer break. The injury adds to a recent slump in Bezzecchi’s season, as he has struggled to finish races and currently trails his teammates in the championship standings.
