Morena intensifies internal processes and regional alliances across Mexico

The political party Morena is actively conducting internal processes and forming strategic alliances across various Mexican states to strengthen its territorial structures. In Guerrero, Beatriz Mojica Morga is leading youth encounters and coordinating defense efforts in Acapulco, receiving support from local figures like Abelina López Rodríguez.

In Sinaloa, several candidates are vying for the municipal coordination of the Defense of the Transformation in Mazatlán, including Edgar González and Olegaria Carrasco Macías. Meanwhile, in Tijuana, Ramón Vázquez Valadez has formalized his registration for the same role, emphasizing territorial work.

Regional tensions and strategic shifts are also evident elsewhere. In San Luis Potosí, Morena coordinator Elí Cervantes confirmed that the party will not form an electoral alliance with the Green Party (PVEM) for the 2027 elections, citing past broken agreements. In Tamaulipas, the political landscape remains complex; the PAN faces internal competition between Yahleel Abdala and Imelda San Miguel for the Nuevo Laredo municipal presidency, while the PRI has called for an independent leadership at the National Electoral Institute (INE) following the resignation of Guadalupe Taddei.
