Marco Bonini debuts as director with film ‘Se ami qualcuno dillo’

Actor and screenwriter Marco Bonini is making his directorial debut with the film ‘Se ami qualcuno dillo’, an adaptation of his 2019 novel. The film, which stars Edoardo Leo, Claudia Gerini, and Giovanna Mezzogiorno, was presented at the Cinepalace in Riccione.

The story is inspired by autobiographical events following a heart attack suffered by Bonini’s father in 2000. After a coma and subsequent brain damage, the man’s personality underwent a radical transformation, shifting from an authoritarian and unaffectionate individual to someone gentle and affectionate. The film explores this metamorphosis as the protagonist must relearn life and navigate relationships with his partner, ex-wife, and teenage son.
