Marco Butti wins TCR Europe 2026 championship in Barcelona
Marco Butti has secured the 2026 TCR Europe Touring Car Series championship following the season finale in Barcelona. Driving a Cupra for the Monlau Motorsport team, the Italian driver clinched the title after securing two sixth-place finishes in the final races.
Other competitors at the event included Adam Shepherd of Monlau Motorsport, who achieved his first series victory in Race 1 but retired from Race 2 after contact in traffic. Gabriele Covini of the BRC Racing Team also competed, noting a season of mixed results and technical difficulties that forced him to start from the back of the grid in both races.
Following his championship success, Butti is expected to participate in the Rally Aci Como scheduled for November 7-8.
