Marco Cappato discusses assisted‑death legislation at Soveria Mannelli festival

On Saturday, 1 August, Marco Cappato, treasurer of the Luca Coscioni Association, took part in the fourth edition of the Festival del Lamento in Soveria Mannelli, Calabria. In his presentation, titled “La fine del peggio,” he spoke about end‑of‑life choices and urged support for the regional popular‑law proposal “Liberi Subito,” which aims to establish clear procedures for medically assisted death in Calabria. Attendees were invited to sign the proposal, and the event was open to the public with free admission.

The festival, organized by the Association’s “Officina della Cultura,” provided a venue for discussing civil liberties, particularly the right to choose one’s own manner of death, reflecting the group’s broader advocacy for civil and human rights.
