Spanish wine tourism initiatives receive major industry awards

The VIII edition of the Spanish Wine Routes Enotourism Awards, organized by the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN), has recognized several key initiatives in the Spanish wine sector.

In the Marco de Jerez region, The Sherry Gallery was named Best Enotourism Establishment in Spain. Located in the Palacio San Dionisio, the museum uses technology and historical collections to showcase the heritage of Sherry wines and brandies. Additionally, Alma Jerez—a collaborative project involving Bodegas Álvaro Domecq, Tablao Flamenco Puro Arte, and the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre—won the award for Best Enotourism Experience. The 'Origen, el latido de un lugar único' campaign also received a special mention for Best Promotional Action.

In another category, the City Council of Tomelloso received the 2026 Wine and Culture Award from the La Mancha Denomination of Origin. The award recognizes the municipality’s Tourism Sustainability Plan, which focuses on preserving local viticultural heritage, including traditional wine cellars and 'bombos manchegos'.
