Marco Enríquez-Ominami denies marriage rumors with Karen Doggenweiler

Chilean politician Marco Enríquez-Ominami has publicly dismissed recurring rumors regarding a potential separation from his wife, television presenter Karen Doggenweiler. Speaking during an interview on ‘La Hora de Conversar’, Enríquez-Ominami characterized the speculation as a constant occurrence that has persisted since their marriage in 2003.

He compared the frequency of the rumors to the ocean, stating that they arise approximately “twenty-three times, every year.” He emphasized the strength of their relationship, describing them as a “duo of a very solid great friendship” and asserting that there is no rift between them due to their deep complicity.

Enríquez-Ominami also addressed his absence from events such as the Viña del Mar Festival during Doggenweiler’s hosting duties. He explained that his professional commitments as a professor and lecturer in Europe prevent his attendance and noted that he views the festival strictly as a workplace for his wife, rather than a social event for the family.
